AEP Ohio encourages customers across our service territory to get ahead of the heat wave’s peak predicted for later this week. Warmer weather can cause air conditioners and fans to work overtime to combat the heat, causing energy usage and electric bills to increase. As summer reaches its end, continued extreme temperatures like those expected this week can cause pop-up storms with little warning — sometimes bringing damaging winds, rain and lightning. As always, our crews are ready to respond to power outages. We’re encouraging our customers to prepare, too.

AEP Ohio encourages customers across our service territory to get ahead of the heat wave’s peak predicted for later this week. Warmer weather can cause air conditioners and fans to work overtime to combat the heat, causing energy usage and electric bills to increase. As summer reaches its end, continued extreme temperatures like those expected this week can cause pop-up storms with little warning — sometimes bringing damaging winds, rain and lightning.
