New business grants available | June 29, 2021
On Friday, Governor DeWine and Lt. Governor Husted announced the launch of 4 grant programs to help small and medium-sized businesses recover from the impact of the pandemic.
o The programs will provide $155 million in funding to businesses that opened in 2020, including food and beverage establishments, entertainment venues, and lodging venues.
o One of the programs – theNew Small Business Grant– will provide $10,000 to eligible small businesses that were established between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020. To ensure that these grants are spread throughout the state, $100,000 will be set aside for businesses in each of Ohio’s 88 counties.
o The application period opens tomorrow – Tuesday, June 29.
